Children With Cancer
Wooshping is delighted to support the incredible work of Children with Cancer UK.
Children with Cancer UK's aims are to determine the causes, find cures and provide care for children with cancer.
They fund life-saving research into the causes, prevention and treatment of childhood leukaemia and other childhood cancers, and work to protect young lives through essential welfare and campaigning programmes.
Founder and Managing Director of Wooshping, Rupert Englander re-took up cycling at the end of 2011, and in 2012 really picked up the pace by successfully completing 2012 miles in 2012 which included various sportives, long rides and The London Revolution - the 186 mile 2 days cycling event around London.
In 2013 he will go one stage further and will be cycling 3102 miles in 2013. This annual target will be reached by regular training sessions, cycling sportives, longer cycle challenges, and at least 1 multi-day significant cycling event.
So far on the schedule he's planned :-
March - Early season Spring Sportive : 76 miles around the Surrey hills
June - Manchester to London : 250 miles in 24 hours overnight
August - London Ride 100 : 100 miles following the Olympic Route.
